WHY MOST CHRISTIANS STRUGGLE TO RECEIVE FROM GOD

As we study the Bible, we encounter heroes of faith who used to be sinners, persecutors of Christians, and murderers…. Yet this did not stop God Almighty from using them in the mightiest way and their names are written in the Word of God.

There is nothing that hinders God from loving you, blessing you, and anointing you!

However, you still do not experience the promises of God in your life.  It’s high time you started thinking of your responsibility.

Are you playing your role?  Are you obedient to the Word of God?  Most importantly, do you honor God with your character?

After reading this content you will surely have a better understanding of how to take your life to a new level.

Many people today, honor God with their mouths but not with their works.  

After the church service, many of us go back to the old habits we used to have before we knew Jesus Christ’s truth.  As you understand it is very dangerous, for whatever a man sows, this he shall reap.

The Word of God clearly says what the wages of sins are Death!

So, when you constantly sow sin in your life, sooner or later, you will see that death will come!

Death in your finances, death in your relationships, death in your marriage, death in your business.

Many people today are alive, you see them walking, but they are dead inside.  

The reason that they sowed sin, is that it killed their spirit.  We were created to be holy, just like our God is Holy. 

We were created to talk to Him, to think with Him, to act with Him, and to do everything through Jesus Christ.  When you don’t do what you were created to do, there is a problem.  

Honor God with your character.  Don’t say with your mouth, what you don’t believe in your heart, be yourself.  The most certain thing is that we all need a total renewal of heart and life.

We have heard thousands of sermons, that please our ears but do not influence our lives.  We reach a point where to make up teachings, having plans of doing various things so God will come and bless us.

Methods like,” 7 steps to receive the Holy Spirit, 13 steps to speak in tongues, steps to receive the gift of healing.  Steps to cast out demons, steps to prophecy.

We will fill our bookcases with methods, plans, and mechanisms trying to receive God’s anointing.   

However, the Word of God teaches us that God’s anointing does not work through plans, methods, or machinery but through suitable men.

The big question is,” Who’s suitable for God?”  Who is suitable to receive the anointing?

We all are unsuitable by birth because we were all born in sin.  We must make it clear to ourselves that none of us is worthy to receive the anointing of God because of our works.

The anointing of God is a gift that comes directly from God.   If God decided to give a part of the anointing today, and we suddenly become anointed.  We all suddenly become prophets, men /women of God. 

 We lack character.   The anointing of God is like a flame and our character is the oil, the fuel, the gas.  It is what keeps the anointing on in your life.  This is what the character does.  

We all have our character which has to adjust to the Word of God otherwise it will not be suitable to keep and maintain God’s anointing.

That is why many of us constantly experience disappointment, failure, poverty, sickness, and such.  We experience everything but the anointing of God.  

Eloquence, friendliness, or ability to inspire does not make us suitable but your obedience to the will of God.  The will of God is found in His Word.

Physical progress is a product of time, academic progress is a product of learning.  Whereas spiritual progress is a product of the obedience to the will of God.

If you want to grow spiritually, and not honor God only with your mouth, your lips.  You need obedience to the Word of God.

By obeying God, we build our character.  We may preach well, you may speak well, you may have a nice opinion, philosophy, nice things,

Someone might say,” I believe God loves everybody.  He wants to help everybody.

You are correct.  But what do you do about it?  Do you honor God, who loves you and all the people?  

Do you honor God with your life, with your character? The Bible says to Honor your father and your mother.” That your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.”  Exodus 20:12

What is your excuse when you don’t honor your parents?  What is your excuse when you don’t talk to them? When you treat them badly and kick them out of the house.

If you say you honor God, based on which verse do you do so?  The Bible says that “Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God will remain forever.”

I am encouraging you and also begging you to honor God with your character.  In the name of Jesus Christ.
