HOW TO STOP MASTURBATING.BIBLICAL AND POWERFUL STEPS

The word masturbation is a highly urged topic in some places while to some, it is a
subject that is too hard to discuss. Masturbation is as real as any type of addiction
and it’s a huge concern for many who are trapped in it and don’t know how to stop
masturbating.
So many in our society today do not see anything wrong with this subject, while
some feel it’s healthy, others just see it as a stage in one’s life that will be outgrown.
There are a lot of people struggling to stop masturbation and that’s why I have
decided to write something here that I believe can bring a total stop and liberation
for this sinful habit.
Satan has always lied to many who are involved in masturbation and frolicking with
sin that it doesn’t matter, you can quit whenever you want, you have flesh and
blood, even God who created you understands, and many more….
All these are brutal lies from the pit of Hell and from the father of lies the devil and
we must resist him by the word of God.
For you to stop masturbation and any other kind of sinful habit;

1. You should acknowledge that this act is sinful.
   You must completely believe and agree that masturbation is a sinful and displeasing
   act before God. If you acknowledge this truth, you are on your way to freedom and
   a life of victory.
   Nobody can convince you otherwise. The word of God says, that
   “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” Flee immorality.
   “Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins
   against his own body.” 1 Corinthians 6;18 NASB
2. Acknowledge that God can forgive all your sins
   Don’t allow Satan to stick you with the belief that your sins cannot be forgiven. You
   must know that no matter how terrible your sin may be, God’s forgiveness is readily
   available to you if you can confess your sin and genuinely repent of all your sins.
   God is faithful to forgive all our sins and completely cleanse us from all our iniquities
   and wickedness.

1 John 1:9 Hebrews 8:12
Tell us that God will forgive all our wickedness and will remember our sins no more.
That is the reason why Jesus shed his blood on the cross. Through the blood of Jesus,
we are cleansed from every unrighteousness and we obtain forgiveness, Ephesians
1:7

3. Believe that you can stop it
   Philippians 4:13 tells us that we can do all things through the help of Christ that
   strengthens and quickens us. Jesus was tempted by the devil and he overcame any
   kind of temptation.
   All He wants us to do is trust in Him and beckon on Him to help us whenever we feel
   like walking into sin, Hebrews 2: 18
   You must have a strong desire to quit sin and every form of unrighteousness. You
   desire to please God and obey His commandments. Daniel 1:8
4. Let the word of God fill your mind and soul
   a. Read the word of God daily.
   The word of God washes our minds from dirty thoughts. A constant study of the
   Word of God, emphasis on overcoming sin, sexual immorality, walking in
   holiness, the blood of Jesus, and many others will purify our minds. Ephesians
   5:26, John 17:17

a. Mediate on God’s word daily
When you constantly meditate on God’s word, you drive those sinful thoughts
away and they will no longer find a space in your soul.
Whatever you think, you will surely act on it. Let your thoughts be fixed on what
is true, right, pure, honorable, admirable, lovely, and excellent. Philippians 4:8,
Psalm 119:11

5. Pray without ceasing
   Prayer is one of the most powerful force in the universe. When you talk with God in
   prayers, you draw from Him mercy, strength, and grace to prevail and overcome.
   Hebrews 4:16
   Accept God’s Word, like the one I have shared in this article, and use them to talk to
   God.

You receive the power and wisdom to prevail. Prayerlessness makes you prey to
Satan. It is in the place of prayer that you draw strength to resist temptation.
Watch and pray
So that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is
weak. Mark 14:38 NLT
Spend time praying in the HOLY SPIRIT (speaking in tongues). It empowers your faith
to overcome all the fiery darts of the devil. Jude 1:20

6. You must e sensitive to and yield to the Holy Spirit
   The Holy Spirit is our helper. He helps us by reminding us of God’s word and
   constantly telling us where, what how with whom….
   When you will find your mind with God’s Word, The Holy Spirit will often bring the
   Word back to you when you need it. All you need to do is yield yourself to Him and
   obey, then you will not fall for the cravings of your flesh.
   Remember, you receive the power to obey as you spend time in prayer. He enables
   us to overcome. He is the Power of God. So, I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your
   lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. Galatians 5: 16 NLT
7. You must avoid temptations
   There are things you watch, things you read, places you go, people, you hang out
   with, music you listen to….
   That bombard your mind with ungodly thoughts and stir your flesh toward sinning.
   You must do whatever you need to do to guard your mind and not expose yourself
   to these people, places, or things.
   Cut yourself off from any person, place, or thing that feeds your flesh …
   Your eyes and ears are gateways to your heart and mind; therefore, you must be
   deliberate about protecting yourself from whatever will lead you to sin.
   I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. Psalms 101:3 NLT
   Stay away from every kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 NLT
   And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires. Romans 13:14
   NLT
8. You must make yourself accountable to someone or people
   Surrounding yourself with the right kind of people is of great importance in
   overcoming sin. Establish a relationship with someone or some people whom you
   can talk to regularly about what is going on in that area of your life. Someone who
   will also check up on you regularly to know how you are doing, pray with you and go
   over God’s word with you.
   Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is
   safety. Proverbs 11:14
   Being involved in a local Church where your spirit is constantly fed by regular Bible
   studies and which has active support groups will help greatly.
   We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some of you are
   doing.
   Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the day of
   the Lord coming. Hebrews 10:25 GW
9. You must think of the consequences
   One of the things you can do to stop a particular sin is to think of the consequences.
   When you weigh the consequences against pleasure, you will know that you ought
   to deny yourself of the pleasure of sin to gain a bigger, better, and everlasting
   pleasure.
   Don’t you realize that this is not the way to live? Unjust people who don’t care
   about God will not be joining His kingdom. Those who use and abuse each other,
   use and abuse sex, use and abuse the earth and everything in it, don’t qualify as
   citizens in God’s kingdom. 1 Corinthians 6:9 MSG
   In and with Christ, you can overcome the world and all the evil it presents you.
   Christ in you is greater than the sin fighting against you. I know you can overcome
   You do not have to stay bound by sin. It has destroyed lives, marriages, and
   families. It shall not destroy you in Jesus’s name. Amen

Prayer Against Masturbation
Thank you, God, for His power, to deliver me from every bondage. I break myself
from every spirit of sexual perversion, in the name of Jesus.
I realize myself from every spiritual pollution emanating from my past sin of
fornication and sexual immorality in the name of Jesus.
I release myself from any ancestral pollution, in the mighty name of Jesus.
I release myself from every dream pollution in the mighty name of Jesus.
I command every plantation of sexual perversion in my life to come out with all its
roots in the mighty name of Jesus.
Every spirit of sexual perversion working against my life, be paralyzed and get out of
my life in the name of Jesus.
Every demon of sexual perversion assigned to my life is bound in the name of Jesus.
Father Lord, let the power of sexual perversion oppressing my life receive the fire of
God and be roasted, in the name of Jesus.
Every inherited demon of sexual perversion in my life receives the arrows of fire and
remains permanently bound in the name of Jesus.
I make this prayer in Jesus’s mighty name. Amen
This prayer is very powerful. Say it as many times as you can and you will see the
demon flee. And God will set you free. And when he sets you free you are free
indeed.
